ABOUT Verahaus Structural is an engineering design studio which strives to provide elegant and thoughtful structural solutions to complement and enhance architectural intent.

Sabrina Duk is the founding principal of Verahaus Structural. She has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University with a concentration in Structural Engineering (Class of 2010).

Sabrina's career began in Connecticut where she worked on residential, commercial, institutional, historic preservation and timber framing projects throughout New England. Her technical abilities took her to Northern California where she earned her Professional Engineering license working on mission critical facilities and seismic retrofits throughout the West Coast. Sabrina later returned to New England to pursue downtown rehabilitation, historic restoration, and industrial projects. Before launching Verahaus, she landed in Southeast Florida designing high-end mixed-use facilities and conducting post-hurricane structural assessments.

With her wide range of professional experiences, Sabrina started Verahaus Structural to elevate a client's experience working with a structural engineer. She holds a Vitruvian perspective on the responsibilities of a design professional and seeks to cultivate a collaborative and hands-on approach to every project.

Sabrina is an active member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) and its local member organizations. She participates in the annual NCSEA Engineering Summit to stay informed of the latest industry trends, code updates, and technical reviews. Sabrina is currently the Chair of the NCSEA Structural Engineering, Engagement, and Equity (SE3) committee which seeks to promote awareness and dialogue within the profession to attract and maintain the best and brightest engineers.
